Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, I find no pleasure in them. (Eccl. 12:1)
Times of trouble are not an exclusive reserve for older people. They are not selective and can affect every demography in any location. The call to remember God is not an invitation to acknowledge Him mentally only. It is to have a personal relationship with Him, obey Him in everything, and live by His power and wisdom. Most young people are intelligent and full of energy, but quite often make lots of wrong choices because they think they can figure out life. The things we pursue relentlessly today as our best goals for life later prove to be a waste of time and effort. If only we had listened to the counsel of God, we would have saved ourselves a lot of troubles. Now, we must face the consequences of those wrong choices which we cannot reverse. Today is the right time to pay attention to how God wants us to live and to live that way.
