Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. Isa. 49:15

A Heart of Compassion

Jesus responded out of compassion to our plight as sinners by dying in our place. His healing and deliverance were preceded by the phrase that Jesus had compassion for the individual(s). To be compassionate, one must feel how an individual feels and respond to mitigate the situation. Mothers, whether in the animal or human kingdoms, are wired with compassion to the degree that men can only imagine. Mothers intuitively understand their children and, out of compassion, will sacrifice anything, including themselves, to make them comfortable. Just as a woman can’t forget her child and not have compassion on them, God, the God of all compassion, will not forget you or fail to have compassion toward you. To our compassionate mothers, HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!
