Former Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria, Late Rev. Musa Asake pass away at 67
The Secretary of Christian Association (CAN) of Nigeria, Rev. Musa Asake died today. He was 67 years old. Jonathan Asake confirmed that Rev Asake passed away Friday morning, May 11, 2018, in Abuja following complains of leg trouble.
The death of Asake came about two weeks after he led a nationwide protest called by CAN against the killing of Christians by suspected Fulani herdsmen. He had been undergoing Physical Therapy in the last few weeks. “He even went to see his Doctor yesterday and came back home and has shown signs of improvement,” says his brother and former member of the House of Representatives, Jonathan Asake. “Yes, he died this morning. We are right now in the mortuary. I was with him yesterday (Thursday) in his house,” he stated.
The deceased, an indigene of Southern Kaduna, has been vocal in the defense of Christianity in Nigeria. He will be greatly missed.
