The experience of being in a new place where you are different from everyone else and lack the language to communicate can be unnerving. The same is true when we find ourselves in predicaments from which we cannot extricate ourselves. The greatest need in such times is a friend who understands your fears and needs and is willing to walk you through the process. Such friends are ‘saviors’, but they are scarce. For our sin problem, not a single human being could save themselves, let alone be a savior to anyone else. Jesus Christ invaded our world from heaven to be our Savior. Our sin problem is solved forever, but sadly, many people are still struggling, living in fear, prisoners in their own cells, and need a friend, not a perfect one, but just a friend who will tell them how to be free from their slavery to sin, fear, and eternal death. We all have family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbors who need our help today. Will you invade that person’s world and point them to their Savior today? “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
