Text: John 12: 44 – 50 (NIV)
44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”
Topic: Obey God’s Word
Our Lord Jesus Christ said that you heard his word and you gave him the truth as Lord and Savior will be a witness on judgement day, and that will affect us all. Every advice or warning we as children of God hear but refuse to obey will be a witness to us on the Day of Judgement.
It’s time accept or accept Jesus will guarantee the future of His people and where they will live forever. Obey God’s word followers of Christ so that we may spend eternity with God and his people.
The Lord Jesus said the Isrealites rejection of His word and refusal to believe Him as Savior and Lord would stand against them on the day the final sentence is passed, which will equally apply to all of us. Every sermon, counsel and warning we hear and refuse to obey will stand against us on that great Day of Judgment.
While accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord will determine where people spend eternity, obeying or disobeying God’s word by believers in Christ will determine our eternal reward.
Be warned, obey God’s word!
