WEEK ONE – FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING
FROM HOME AND CROSS-BOARDER MISSION FIELDS
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 147:5

 

FRIDAY 1STThe journey through the month of February for us as a ministry has been sweet and smooth; praise God for His sustaining grace and mercies that have kept us thus far.SATURDAY 2ND Praise God for the safe trip granted to Rev. Amah Ishaku to Nigeria and back to Mali on the need to raise funds for the Mali mission project. Also praise God for the comfort He is granting the family over the demise of his father-in-law.SUNDAY 3RD Praise God for the safe arrival of the new Regional Coordinator of Far North Region, Rev. Adamu Dutse, to his new region and for a safe trip in his visit to all the DCC offices. Ask God to grant wisdom and new strategies to him and the missionaries working in this region on how to move the work forward.

NOTE WE ARE FASTING TOMORROW

FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR:

  • A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS.
  • PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS.
  • REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH.

OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, JUST BE SURE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.

MONDAY 4TH Praise God for using Pastor Samaila Sarki who dug a well in his mission station. This well has become the only source of clean drinking water in the community. To save this well from collapsing, he is in need of seven bags of cement to ring the well for longer lasting usage. Ask the Lord to grant opening for this need to be met.

TUESDAY 5TH Praise God for the new primary and nursery school in Sabon Gida; we thank God for the pupils who have enrolled. Pray that the school will be a channel of winning souls to Christ.

WEDNESDAY 6TH Praise God for the rescue of our dear Pastor Bulus Moses, who was kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination. He was also given poison to drink after which he was to be killed, but the Lord stepped in and he was miraculously rescued from the hands of the enemy. He is currently doing fine and is healthy. Praise God!

THURSDAY 7THPraise God for sparing the life of Rev. Danjuma A. Attah, the Central DCC Coordinator, who was involved in an accident on 28/1/2019, pray for speedy healing to the injury on his knee.

FRIDAY 8TH Praise God for the family of Mr. & Mrs. Jeremiah Di’las who donated 54 bags of grains, 27 for EMS Children School Lakweme and 27 for missionaries of Gombe DCC. The family of Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Amos gave us 22 bags of grains, 10 for EMS Children School Lakweme and 12 for missionaries in Gombe DCC. Ask the Lord to reward them and to increase grace on them also.

SATURDAY 9TH Praise God for the payment of Rev. Kanawa’s accommodation in Niger Republic by ECWA Wuse 2, Abuja Nigeria. Ask the Lord to bless this church for their commitment to ECWA/EMS mission in Niger Republic.

WEEK TWO FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

But He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” Luke 4:43

SUNDAY 10TH EMS MANAGEMENT Continue to pray for protection and favor for EMS Management Team as they consult people and organizations for partnership and support of EMS.

MONDAY 11TH EMS BOARD MEMBERS Praise God for His sustaining grace on EMS board members through the 1st quarter of the year. Ask that they enjoy sound health and safety in all their trips in this month.

TUESDAY 12TH EMS SUPPORTERS Pray for God’s blessings on their families. Pray for their own spiritual lives, that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Pray that they would be encouraged and supported in any area of their needs. Pray that their own lives would reflect the gospel to those around them.

WEDNESDAY 13TH ECWA EXECUTIVES Pray that the ECWA EXECUTIVE will be committed to the making of faithful disciples and raising quality leaders rather than seeking prosperity and numerical growth; also pray that they will stay committed to the Great Commission.

THURSDAY 14TH ECWA MINISTERS/STAKEHOLDERS Ask the Lord to grant ECWA Ministers/Stakeholders a repentant spirit so they may be an instrument that ushers in God’s blessing for the church and this nation.

FRIDAY 15TH EMS MUSLIM OUTREACH UNIT Pray that the Christian youths in Nigeria will go back to the ancient landmark to experience Christ afresh. Ask God to fill their hearts with the knowledge of His glory and give them a zeal for strategic missions to the unreached. Ask the Lord to increase strength on Rev. Dr. Shaba Adams, the coordinator of this unit, as he prepares the 2019 prayer booklet.

SATURDAY 16TH FAR NORTH – KATSINA DCC Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to EMS to raise new supporters and donors in this region.

  • The EMS missionary at Miga is living in Jahu, which is far from the church; it is about 32 Kilometers away. He is in dire need of a motorcycle to meet up with the challenging ministry needs.
  • Ask the Lord to grant wisdom on all ministers in this region to foster a good working relationship between EMS and the DCCs in the region.

WEEK THREE FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4

SUNDAY 17TH EMS HOUSE OF HOPE Appreciate God for sustaining the children in all the homes under “EMS HOUSE OF HOPE” – GIDAN BEGE around the country and for provision of their school needs. Pray for the grace of God to abound on the staff there to bring the children up in the way of the Lord.

MONDAY 18TH CENTRAL REGION – GARKI Praise God for 20 new EMS supporters in this region. Ask the Lord to grant them grace and provisions to allow them to stay committed to supporting the work of EMS.

TUESDAY 19TH FAR NORTH WEST REGION- KEBBI Ask the Lord to intervene over the security challenge faced by Maikujeri Mission Station Zamfara, which has resulted in the residents vacating the community. As a result, the missionary has been relocated to a new mission station, which for security reasons is not mentioned here. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom on the missionary as he begins work in this new station.

WEDNESDAY 20TH NORTH WEST REGION – KADUNA Pray for the protection of missionaries and other Christian workers, particularly in areas where it is dangerous to preach the Gospel. Pray also for wisdom and fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit for the new Regional Coordinator, Rev. Yahaya Bungule, to serve. Pray that ministers of the Gospel in Kaduna, especially ECWA ministers will develop divine love for the unreached.

THURSDAY 21ST MID CENTRAL REGION- KAGORO Appreciate God for His grace and protection upon the Regional Coordinator and the missionaries in this region with their families. Ask Him to renew their strength and help them to achieve their annual goals. Pray for all that they need to remain in His will this year and beyond.

FRIDAY 22ND EMS SOUTH NORTH WEST REGION Ask God to protect missionaries in this new region with their families and to grant them boldness, wisdom and utterance to mobilize the churches under this region for missions support.

SATURDAY 23RD SOUTH NORTH EAST REGION – JALINGO Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the missionaries working among unreached people groups in the region. Pray for an increase in their love and passion for the work. Pray that their faith will remain firm and that tent-making will not be a distraction to them.

WEEK FOUR FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS

SUNDAY 24TH CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEEDS EMS is still trusting God for the sum of about N854m that is urgently needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Let’s not relent in praying for this need.

MONDAY 25TH BENIN REPUBLIC Praise God for-the progress of the ministry in Benin Republic!

  • Praise God for the intervention regarding the long-awaited issue of unauthorized church land in Benin Republic. The issue has been resolved to the glory of God.
  • Pray for God’s provision for the support of one of Revd. Amos’ disciples who has volunteered to stay in Aglansa, a targeted area for the mission work.
  • Pray that God will provide for EMS of ECWA so that more missionaries can be sent to Benin Republic.

TUESDAY 26TH ECWA MALI Plead with God to remove every barrier keeping some Malians from accepting Christ.

  • Pray that the people will fully understand that they must forsake all other gods if they desire to call Jesus “Lord”.
  • Keep praying along with us for the 5000 bags of grains project provision among the 21 Dogon villages (not enough rains and the communal crisis had stopped many from going to their farms).
  • Keep praying for the 26 children who said the salvation prayer on 2/12/18, in Mali to understand God’s complete package of salvation and keep them safe from enemy attacks and strong when faced with persecution.

WEDNESDAY 27TH GAMBIAPraise God for a new convert from Senegal’s border who is a custom officer through the outreach of Pastor Francis Mingou and his team. The team also showed the Jesus film in Touba, Senegal and 17 people gave their lives to Christ!!! Thank God and ask HIm to sustain them in faith.

THURSDAY 28TH ECWA REPUBLIC OF GHANA Praise God for a fruitful follow-up program among the converts in Northern Ghana by Pastor Simon Danasai; ask the Lord to increase upon him discernment as he disciples these new converts.

  • The church in Tamale is experiencing a good turnout of believers as about 80 people now meet to fellowship as a church to the glory of God. Ask the Lord to sustain this growth and to open doors of resources for this young growing church to have its own structure. The house where they meet to worship no longer accommodates them!

FRIDAY 29TH ECWA NIGER REPUBLIC Pray for the completion process of the registration of ECWA Niger Republic.

  • Pray for Pastor & Mrs. Lawrence Nuhu serving at Kukan Kwadl, Niger Republic to be fruitful as they reach out to the nationals/indigenous people in Jesus’ name.

SATURDAY 30TH ECWA ZAMBIA Praise God for the take-off of a new prayer house in Kafuwe Township near Lusaka; ask for grace on the missionary as they put up strategies to ensure this mission station stands.

  • Ask that God should give the Zambian field indigenous volunteers who are patient and have a willing heart to serve God.

SUNDAY 31ST ECWA MALAWI Praise God for the efforts of the Fellowship Bible Church (FBC), U.S.A in their partnership with ECWA Malawi and for the series of trainings, materials and visits they often embark on to ensure its sustenance. Ask that the Lord will provide the Malawi field with a bus which will cost N3.5million Naira.
