Rev Dr Baba Panya (ECWA President) Calls for CPC Designation on Nigeria
The removal of the USA Government’s designation of Country of Particular Concern (CPC) on Nigeria is alarming. There is a noticeable fear that attacks and killings will avoid adequate dialogue and proper investigation. Rather than being accountable to the world, the Federal, State and Local government would be unable to stop the killings and also silence their critics.
Christians in Nigeria are being massacred and the Nigerian government must respond. Specifically, Christians who are being killed are attacked not only by Boko Haram/ISWAP, but also by Fulani militants, bandits, and kidnappers which are beyond mere clashes.
