“I have nothing against God,” a brother declared. What a profound statement to make! Not many of us can sincerely repeat that statement from our hearts. Although we know God’s character that He is good, Loving, caring, perfect, kind, gracious, and the list goes on, yet secretly, we charge God with negligence, insensitivity, and not caring for us as we would have cared for ourselves if we had the power to will things and they happen. Our grievances against God become exposed through our lack of zeal to worship Him joyfully, give thanks to Him in all circumstances, pray to Him, and serve Him with all He has given us. If He did things for us the way we wanted them done, we would praise Him joyfully and serve Him in whatever pleases Him. Is it not a fact that many of us are ‘secretly’ angry with God for no cause? What can you charge God with? And if nothing, why is it an arduous chore to praise Him and boast about Him before your family, friends, and even enemies?
