WEEK ONE – FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING
FROM HOME AND CROSS-BOARDER MISSION FIELDS

FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS, PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS, FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH. OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, JUST BE SURE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.

TUESDAY 1ST Praise God for 2018 Mission Week of prayers; Pray for the success of the week and for great testimonies after the week.
WEDNESDAY 2ND Praise God for the success of the General Church council meeting that was held on the 9th – 13th April, 2018 with an election of Rev. Stephen Panya Baba as the new ECWA President and Rev. Alexander Ibi as the new ECWA Assistant General Secretary.
THURSDAY 3RD Praise God for the success of EMS Board meeting that was held on the 27th of April, 2018. Thank God for the life of our staff Late Rev. Monday Zock who has gone to be with the Lord on 29th April, 2018. Pray for comfort for the family and the entire church of God and the success of the burial today.
FRIDAY 4TH Praise God for the provision of generator in Benin Republic for the purpose of evangelism.
SATURDAY 5TH Praise God for the victory over demonic power in Burkina Faso and for successful ministry of Pastor & Mrs. Dauda lIiya.
SUNDAY 6TH Praise God for His provision of six wells in six of Tchad’s mission stations namely: (Moulkou, Rady, Djouman, Molom, Guelende and Koutoun) through the assistance of EMS partner in Tchad. Let us continue to pray for more provision of funds for other mission stations that are in need of wells.
MONDAY 7TH Praise God for speedy recovery of Mrs. Elizabeth H. Arkson and Miss Pheobe in City Ministries who were sick and went through successful surgery.
WEEK TWO: FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
I will proclaim the name of the Lord…Deut. 32:3a
TUESDAY 8TH EMS MANAGEMENT Pray that EMS management team will be flexible in their planning and be sensitive to discern what God wants to accomplish through EMS on daily basis.
WEDNESDAY 9TH ECWA EXECUTIVES Pray for the newly elected ECWA Executives for guidance and wisdom as they assume their various offices in June, 2018.
THURSDAY 10TH EMS BOARD MEMBERS
  • Pray that God would meet the financial obligations of each EMS board member.
  • Pray that EMS board members will be abundantly wise and discerning as well as filled with love for the works of missions.
  • Let’s not relent in asking the Lord to protect EMS board members with their families from every form of evil, grant them safety in all their travels and favor in all their endeavors to move EMS of ECWA to greatness.
FRIDAY 11TH EMS SUPPORTERS Pray that EMS supporters will continue to have their needs met and remain committed to their task of giving and praying for the work of mission. Also pray for faithful remittance of the mission week collections.
SATURDAY 12TH ECWA MINSTERS/STAKEHOLDERS Pray for ECWA members, pastors, and stakeholders to have strength, spiritual growth, and success in fulfilling God’s disciple-making mission work in their context.
SUNDAY 13TH CENTRAL REGION GARKI DCC The motorcycle of the EMS Coordinator of Lokoja DCC was stolen sometimes ago, praise God for its recovery and let’s not relent in praying for the safety of missionaries and their means of mobility.
MONDAY 14TH SOUTH NORTH EAST-TARABA DCC Pray for the completion of the DCC Coordinator’s House and other mission projects that are in progress.
WEEK THREE: FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

TUESDAY 15TH FAR NORTH REGION-KATSINA DCC
  • Pray for, Jamilu a convert who is detached from his family because of his faith, that he would stand strong.
  • Pray for Dandume EMS mission station, they need the sum of 80,000.00 to buy a land.
WEDNESDAY 16TH EMS CITY MINISTRIES
  • Pray for the Almajiri program that is gaining ground once again in Gidan Bege. 72 of these street boys come forth nightly to watch Christian movies, talk show, receive feeding, run around and also get cleaned up.
  • Pray that the Lord will grant more open doors to keep this program of reaching out to these children growing.
THURSDAY 17TH NORTH CENTRAL REGION
  • Pray for healing of an EMS Supporter Mr. Iliya Dakama who is on admission at JUTH.
  • Pray for open doors to meet the urgent need of four (4) motor cycles for Yelwa, Mangu, Zagun and Gwol DCCs.
FRIDAY 18TH MID CENTRAL REGION Most EMS stations in this region embarked on building projects, especially of worship places; ask the Lord to open doors for funds to complete the various projects.
SATURDAY 19TH NORTH EAST REGION
  • Let us not relent in praying for the release Leah Shu’aibu that is still, in the hands of her kidnapers for not denouncing Jesus to become a Muslim.
  • Pray for the issues of Boko haram in North East on how God will continue to protect our Missionaries and bring the end of Boko haram in Jesus name.
SUNDAY 20TH FAR NORTH WEST REGION
  • Pray for the new Coordinator in Kebbi DCC that God will give him wisdom as he carry out his duties and to be able to adjust to the new environment.
  • Pray for comfort to the family of our missionary Pst. Luka Giwa who died and left his wife and 5 children.
MONDAY 21ST SOUTH EAST-ABA DCC Thank for the success of well project at Ntezi. Pray of the provision of fund for Nnenu mission field to roof their church.
WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS

TUESDAY 22ND ECWA BURKINA FASO CHURCH

Pray for the growth of the two churches planted by Pastor Thomas Joshua in Burkina Faso.

WEDNESDAY 23RD ECWA BENIN REPUBLIC
  • Thank God for his protection and provision for Missionaries in Benin Republic field.
  • Pray for God’s provision for building of church tents for the two church lands purchased in Benin
THURSDAY24TH ECWA NIGER REPUBLIC
  • Praise God for the willingness of ECWA Gospel Centre Kano to renovate the Missionary house in Likawa, Niger Republic and pray for God’s provision to enable them achieve this.
  • Pray for the completion of the building of the house of a woman who donated a church land at Rijiyar Riga which is shouldered by ECWA Wuse 2, Abuja.
  • Pray for provision of motorcycle to ease movement and ministry work of Pastor Lawrence in Niger Republic.
FRIDAY 25TH CHAD REPUBLIC
  • Worship places and missionaries’ houses are still critical needs in most of our mission stations in Chad, do pray for God’s provision towards meeting these challenging needs.
  • Pray for God’s provision for urban church planting in Ndjamena, the capital of Chad Republic. Two lands are identified in the center of Ndjamena for the said purpose.
  • Pray as well for a suitable Missionary couple to be sent to Ndjamena for the said urban church planting.
SATURDAY 26TH ECWA ZAMBIA CHURCH

Let’s not relent in praying for Martha Mishibi in whose house a church meets for fellowship in Chingola, Zambia. Ask the Lord to sustain the young church by His grace and to bless Sister Martha and her family.

SUNDAY 27TH MALAWI
  • Pray for God’s provision for structural development of the Church plot in Blantyre, Malawi. Pray for the 14 Malawi indigenous pastors as we trust God for their upkeep, trusting that they will be adopted as EMS missionaries as God raises supporters.
  • Pray for the growth, stability and unity among members of the church in Malawi.
MONDAY 28TH KENYA
Let’s keep Praying that God will provide a land in Utawala Kenya, where two halls are rented for place of worship and school.
Pray that God will enable the registration of ECWA Kenya with the Kenyan Government this year; Ask God to grant favor and wisdom as our missionary knocks on doors that are connected to registering ECWA with the Kenyan government.
WEEK FIVE: FOCUS ON OTHER EMS MISSION ARMS
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19 NIV
TUESDAY 29TH EMS CHILDREN/MISSION FIELD SCHOOLS
  • Ask the Lord to Grant grace to teachers to teach effectively and grace on the pupils/students to understand and also study hard so as to pass their promotion examination this 3rd term.
  • Pray for the realization of the tree planting project in the EMS children schools; pray that people will be stirred to donate trees and cash towards this project.
WEDNESDAY 30TH EMS MEDICAL UNIT
Pray for God’s wisdom on Mr. Samuel Ijah the EMS Medical coordinator and the 11 staff working with him in all EMS medical centers across our mission stations; also pray for safety in all their travels.
THURSDAY 31TH Praise God for His sustaining grace on EMS in all its mission programs and travels throughout the month of May. Praise God for His grace on you to pray with us and pray for more grace to keep us praying for God’s will and plan for EMS of ECWA to be actualized for his glory in every aspect of the organizational operation.
